The Tara Anne is a state-of-the-art custom-made 30 foot Island
Hopper brand fishing vessel. These boats are designed to carry
fisherman and divers to their destinations quickly, dependably,
and economically. In fact, the ISLAND HOPPER 30 can be found around
the world, from Guam to Cozumel, to the Canary Islands and all
over the shores of the United States.
The Tara Anne is meticulously maintained with a full range of
fishing finding, radar, and Global Positioning systems so that
you know where both you and the fish are at all times. The Tara
Anne legendary 12' beam delivers the stability and room offshore
anglers and Dive Masters demand, which means that it offers nearly
double the width of traditional fishing boats. That’s an
important point, since it ensures you, your friends and family
can spread out and enjoy the trip instead of being huddled together
at the back of one of those other “narrow” charter
boats. Of course the boat includes a head (bathroom for non-boating
types). And one more thing, if you are like Captain Joe sometimes
you want to get out of the sun while you are out there. On the
Tara Anne there is plenty of room to duck into the shade when you
need it.

Powerful, heavy spring breeders known as cows offer really good
fighting. Up to 50 pounds.
Drum fish (up to 90 pounds): Sometimes
referred to as “Dinosaurs of the Delaware Bay”, these are some of
the largest fish you can catch in the area. Great fighting fish
day or night.

Sharks: Threshers, Blues, Makos, Duskies
are all possible catches. Each one is different. Makos are some of
the hardest fighting fish on the eastern seaboard and almost always
come out of the water during the fight.
Blue Fish: Fast, hard-hitting and
plentiful. Pound for pound probably the hardest fighting fish and
most aggressive fish we get off the Jersey Shore.
Flounder: Most famous eating fish on the
Jersey shore. Very mild and can be cooked virtually any way. Both
bay and ocean fishing.
Sea Bass: Fishing for this one is at its
best. The type of fish you can cook any way and often one of the
most requested fish to go out for. Great for first time fishing, for
kids or the whole family. Not unusual to catch 100 fish in one trip.
Croakers: Small, but fierce fighting fish,
usually caught in larger numbers. Good to eat. Another good family
fish especially good for small kids, since they can usually be
caught in large numbers.
Weakfish: Delicate white fish, known for
its mild, tender meat.
Tuna: One of the best tasting and
most sought after offshore fish (Depending on the water temperature,
these fish can be caught in late June).
